If you have any old Video8/Hi8 Tape Cassettes laying around your house and they are filled with precious memories you need to have these Cassettes converted into a Digital Format immediately.
The film in these old Video8 Cassettes begins to breakdown over time and eventually the videos that were captured on your Cassette Tapes will no longer be viewable or retrievable.
Understanding our Pricing
At Infinite Loop, we want to make our pricing as easy to understand as possible and the options you have when it comes to converting your Old Videotapes.
There is a Standard fee of 60.00/cassette to record your videos to our software program to convert them into a digital format.
With Analog Video every minute of the video has to be played to capture it, and unfortunately there is no technology that allows a Tape to be played at high speed and capture it - so, it is an extremely time consuming process.
Also, a lot of Video8 Camcorders only recorded the Audio to a Single Channel -
What this means is when you play the video on a Television or on the Computer you will only get sound out of one speaker.
What we are able to do is take that Single Channel Stereo Sound and convert it to a Dual Channel Sound file.
Giving you sound out of both your Left and Right Speakers.
If you want to leave your videos with Single Channel Stereo Sound that is your choice.
However, if you want the Highest Quality Digital Copy we recommend converting the sound.
*Note* Not all Camcorders recorded video in Single Channel Stereo and we'll only offer this service to you if we find that your Cassette's are in Single Channel Stereo Sound. If you do need this service we charge 20.00 per cassette that needs to be converted.
All of your Converted Videos will be in .mp4 format - We Believe that this is the most compatible option for both Macs and PCs, and you can upload your Converted Video Files directly into iTunes and have them on your, iPhone, iPad, iPod or AppleTV immediately. If you need your files to be in a different format we can accommodate your requests.
