Flipboard is a great way to get all of the latest news from around the world that is tailored to what your individual interests are. Samsung likes Flipboard so much that they have actually integrated it into their Operating System on their Galaxy Series Smartphones.
We really like it and we think you will too.
Hangouts is Google's Answer to FaceTime and it is one App worth getting and telling your friends and family to get too. Hangouts allows you to instant message, video conference, and call anywhere in North America For Free*. The added advantage to Hangouts is that it can be installed on any Mac or PC or even as an extension on Google Chrome.
*Uses Cellular Data or Wifi.
Waze
Do you use Google or Apple Maps - Well if you do you should be making the switch to Waze. Waze allows you to notify other drivers of construction zones, traffic accidents, police speed-traps and basically anything else that you may encounter on the road. You get Waze Points for helping alert other drivers, you can send arrival information to your other Waze friends and more options than you'll probably ever use.
Swiftkey is an App that we have had our fingers crossed on for years and with the release of iOS 9 that dream finally happened!
Swiftkey is a third-party keyboard that is available for all iOS devices - it has the best predictive texting we've ever seen, swipe-typing, multiple Keyboard Skins, and can be linked to your e-mail, facebook or google account to learn your most used phrases to better predict your next word.
When it comes to keeping your personal information private you can never be too safe and with the large number of free public wifi networks in coffee shops, malls, schools, airports, hotels... it's endless. There is nothing that can protect you like a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to make you virtually "invisible" on any network.
